Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Weight Record (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information. The App is designed to work entirely offline. We do not run accounts or a cloud service, and we do not receive or store your personal data on our servers.
1) Summary
- No sign-in, no cloud, no analytics. Your data stays on your device unless you export or share it yourself.
- Data you enter: weight entries, goals, notes you optionally type in.
- No third-party ads or trackers.
- Permissions used: Notifications (Android 13+) and Vibrate for haptic feedback.
2) Information We Collect
Collected and stored locally on your device only:
- Weight & wellness data: values you input (e.g., weight, target/goal, timestamps, optional notes).
- App settings: units, theme, notification preferences, and similar configuration.
We do not collect: names, email addresses, precise location, contacts, photos, audio, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or any usage analytics.
3) How Your Data Is Processed
All processing (such as calculating trends or charts) happens on your device. We do not transmit your data to us or to third parties. If you choose to back up, export, or share data (for example via files or screenshots), that action is initiated by you and handled by your chosen apps/services.
4) Data Sharing & Disclosure
- No selling of data.
- No sharing with advertisers or analytics providers.
- No disclosure unless you explicitly export/share data via system features.
5) App Permissions
The App requests the following Android permissions solely for the described purposes:

You can change notification permission anytime in Android Settings.
6) Data Security
Your data resides on your device. Please use a device passcode, biometric lock, and regular backups to protect it. If your device is lost, stolen, damaged, or reset, we may not be able to help recover your local data.
7) Data Retention
Data is kept until you delete it (e.g., clearing entries in the App or uninstalling the App). Uninstalling removes the App and its local database from your device.
8) Your Privacy Rights
Because we do not host or control your data on our servers, most rights (access, export, correction, deletion) are exercised by you directly inside the App or via your device’s OS features (e.g., backup/export, delete app data). If you need help, contact us at danledian0121@gmail.com.
GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA/CPRA notes: We do not sell or share personal data, we do not use profiling or targeted advertising, and we do not transfer your data internationally, as we do not collect it on servers. If local laws grant you additional rights, contact us and we will assist to the extent applicable to an offline app.
9) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy for clarity or to reflect new features (for example, if we later add optional cloud sync). Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective date” above and releasing an app update that links here.
